I am going to be drawing and hand printing a super limited edition poster in support of my friend Jay William Henderson’s new record “Hymns To My Amnesia”. You may have seen me post his songs on the facebooks before so it is no secret that I love his music.
Scott Wiley is recording and producing the album so there is no way that it will be anything less than amazing. June Audio, the studio he owns and operates is simply one of the best in the country.
I think that this record is going to be something really special.
Now, like many artists these days Jay is putting this thing out with the help of Kickstarter.
Please kick in your support at Jay's Kickstarter Page
Pitch in $100 or more to get the exclusive print that I am making. I have my fingers crossed that with your help, the record will be released on vinyl! Maybe we can all get together and have a listening party? I have a very big couch.
A whole lot of new posters just hit the site. Check them out!
I wish that I could have attended the Newport Folk Festival this year. The lineup was a solid list of my personal musical heroes. I was lucky enough to be asked to design the poster though and that was a pretty huge honor. I have a handful of my artist proofs leftover from the print run in case you missed your chance to grab one at the show.
I am heading to Bonnaroo to do another poster show this week. If you are in Manchester, stop by and say hello. Two new posters are up. I hope you like them.
I hope you all had a fantastic Record Store Day Weekend. I have uploaded a new poster for Black Mountain and the Graywhale Record Store Day print I did, both are available in super limited numbers. If you are a Utah local, stop by your favorite Graywhale store and pick up one of the limited edition print packs that include two other prints for the bargain price of $30. At least I think that is how much they cost. There are only 30 of those ones.

The poster for the sold-out Young the Giant show at In the Venue is available now. Also, I had the great opportunity to be part of the Gallery 1988 Multiplayer 2 show again this year. My contribution is a print based on Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption and you can pick it up online now.
The poster for the sold-out Sharon Van Etten and War On Drugs show at The State Room is available now. I should also say that if you have a chance to see either one of these two incredible bands: go, go,
(stop thinking about it, buy tickets) go!
There is a new poster for Youth Lagoon's Salt Lake show that took place earlier this month. Check it out in the poster shop.
A poster for Dr. Dog's sold-out show at the Urban Lounge is available now.
It's a brand new year and the last of the 2011 poster series is now available online. Heartless Bastards played in Salt Lake City and moe. played in Portland Maine on New Year's Eve. I had the great opportunity to do a poster for each of them.
I also had the great opportunity to speak with Jennifer Napier-Pearce on CityViews yesterday. I have never been on the radio before and I had a cold but all in all it went pretty well. If you would like to hear it you can do so here. It is the segment after Peter Sagal.
Deer Tick played an incredible show to a sold out Wednesday night crowd. The new tunes felt like old barroom anthems and there was a lot of shouting along. There is a poster available, give it a look!
There is a new poster available for the AA Bondy show last night at Urban Lounge. It was a wonderful show to put a closing seal on the seemingly never ending Halloweekend. Gold Leaves started things off with stunningly beautiful and hauntingly lonesome tunes. AA Bondy played sweet and mellow, like a lullaby for a grateful tuesday night crowd.
Happy Halloween! There is a new poster available for Phantogram's sold out show at Urban Lounge last Saturday. Check it out in the poster shop.
The poster for The Felice Brothers show at The State Room is available now. I can't say enough to express how great this show was. Start to finish, a truly epic night.

The poster for the Sleepy Sun and The Low Anthem show at the State Room is now available. The show was everything I could have hoped for. Two great bands in great form. Check them out when they come to your town.
I can't seem to get enough of critters on posters. The Liam Finn show at Urban Lounge last night was simply one of the most energetic, engaging performances I have seen in a long time. Those of us who braved the mild fall weather on a Wednesday night got to see something truly special.
There is a new poster for the Fruit Bats and Vetiver show this past weekend at Urban Lounge. What a beautiful night it was. Also, the poster for Typhoon's performance at MusicfestNW is now available.
More to come soon...stay tuned!
The poster for last week's Two Gallants show is now available. Those guys know how to start a tour off right, amazing show!

Here we are in the heat of June, so many things have been happening. There are two new posters available for two great bands. I hope you like them.
Bonnaroo was enchanting as it always is but this year there seemed to be so many new surprises. People are surprising, yes they are. Also, thanks to everyone who came around to the poster show tent. It was great meeting you!
The Salt Lake Under Ground magazine features my artwork on the cover this month as well as my artwork for the Uinta Brewing Company. Be sure to check that out. If you aren't local to the Salt Lake area you can see it online here.
Has it really been over two months since I have made a poster for something? No, but this is the first one to become available on this website. It was for last evening's Mogwai show at Avalon Theatre. What a show it was. The warrior poets were in fine form; they are on the road so see them play in your town or one close by.
Heartless Bastards played an incredible show last night at The State Room. I had been looking forward to this show since it was announced and I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. I have never seen them not rock. It is just the way they are. Water is made of hydrogen and oxygen and Heartless Bastards are made of rock. I got to do a poster for the show and I am pretty excited about it. I hope all you kind folks enjoy it too.
It has been a busy month, there are new prints available and much more on the way. Also, Flatstock is coming up with SXSW. I hope to see you there in March!

Today also marks the final poster of the 2010 series. This one is for one of my favorite bands around: Langhorne Slim and the Law. I wish I could have made it to the Mission Theater in Portland to see the show but it looks like it will be an SLC New Year's Eve for me.
Thanks again, all you great people who buy my work and all the great people who commission the creation of it. It is an overused sentiment but there would truly be no Furturtle Show Prints without you.

If you are lucky enough to live in or near Salt Lake but haven't seen Spell Talk yet you should do it as soon as you can.

The Hive Gallery - Trolley Square
Salt Lake City
I know very little about skateboards and the "skateboarding" of them etc.
I was given the opportunity to paint a skateboard for the Hive Gallery's fabulous upcoming art show. Apparently, there will be many boards painted by many different artists and all of these boards will be available for sale. This would probably be
a good opportunity to pick up a unique gift for the skateboarder or art liker on your holiday gift list. I reckon that any of the skateboards available at this show would look nearly as good displayed as they would grinding upon fakies at the local skateboard riding park.

The 2010 poster season is winding down and I've got a powerful urge to go into hibernation for the winter. There are a couple new prints coming up soon as well as some gallery shows.
